It was book discussion event when the host warned me to be ready for the provocative questions. He asked a couple. Then some other participants joined the ride. As I was listening to these questions there was one name in my mind. (Sumbal Mushtaq - Medical Doctor and Space Researcher.)
She was a cool specialist and she told me about her passion for diving. Then she shared how questions would intimidate her. Uncertainty element. Dealing with pressure. As I listened to her I asked about her passion for diving again. It was dark, deep, lots of pressure, you do not know what water will bring. We both laughed at the irony of that reflection. Her case is so universal. We deal with so many hard things in our lives and sometimes we make fuss about couple of provocative questions. And so what?
As I answered my own set, I thought I saw her sitting in the audience and nodding her head.
Day 16 of the journey is about diving deep.
If we don't do that we will not see the things that are meant for us to see.
There is mystery and beauty in such questions. Deep provocative questions can wake us up? They challenge us to be better and be ready to deal with pressure. Maybe there is no pressure because we are 100% sure about who we are and what we want. May be we 0% sure about the outcome.
Is not it the beauty of the deal?
